Jeff Winegar

Jeff is a former Sergeant with the United States Army. During his five years of service, he was stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA with 1-23 Tomahawks, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. His responsibilities as a non-commissioned officer included developing training plans, coordinating complex missions, & leading direct & indirect fire teams in combat. Jeff spent 9 months as a Squad Leader in Afghanistan where he encountered highly kinetic combat missions daily. This deployment allowed him to develop & master infantry fighting tactics & techniques when his life & his soldiers’ lives were on the line. Specific combat skills included reacting to enemy contact with superior force and resolve. Upon his return from deployment, he was promoted to Sergeant, where he spent the next two years training hundreds of subordinates in the mastering of infantry skills. The focus of Jeff’s training was empowering his soldiers to obtain qualification for close-quarters battle (CQB) and close-range marksmanship (CRM) before deployment. In 2014, Jeff chose to leave the Army to focus more on spending quality time with his son, Tank, and wife, Rebecca. He currently holds NRA certifications for Basic Pistol and Range Safety Officer, along with certifications for training CRM (close-range-marksmanship) and law-enforcement pistol.
