This Course is for Beginners. It will introduce you to Basic Handling, Safety, Ownership and Operation of your Firearm.
In this course you will learn: Range Rules, Do’s & Dont’s, Terminology & Different types of Handguns & Accessories.
LIVE FIRE INCLUDED – 50 ROUNDS
This is the new curriculum required by the state of Colorado. Students will learn about the revised statutes from the required state curriculum, safety procedures for interactions with law enforcement, and the ramifications concerning deadly physical force. This is an 8-hour program: Students are responsible for bringing their firearm and ammunition. If not, ammunition and a rental can be purchased at the class.

This is a modern course that covers the practical application & fundamentals of marksmanship with an AR- platform rifle. This is a 4 hour class and requires 150+ rounds of ammunition

Learn the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship by applying them during dry fire & live fire training. This course is recommended for all shooters, regardless of their skill level. Many people have been taught ‘legacy ideals’ concerning pistol marksmanship. We are here to show you the modern techniques used by the best shooters in world. This is a 4 hour course and requires 300+ rounds of ammunition (can be purchased in store)
Learn about firing from a draw in endless starting positions, reactive & predictive shooting, critical time management, shooting with movement, shoot/don’t shoot, multiple target engagement & firing under stressful conditions. This is a USPSA-style training course for efficiency in all aspects. This is a 4 hour course and requires 550+ rounds of ammunition

KENTON VU
Kenton served as an EMT in the Denver Metro area for three years and worked as a police officer for one year before joining the team at The Shootist. A long-time shooting enthusiast, he began competing in shooting events in 2023. He is a certified NRA Instructor and specializes in shooting movements, and tactics. He enjoys hiking, camping, and snowboarding, with his fiancée and dogs.
